An Evening of Experimental Middle Eastern Dance enchanted those who saw it at the Secret Rose Theater in North Hollywood. The performances were held from Septernber 4 - 7, 2003. A variety of themes frorn the light hearted "Visitors Between Worlds" to the inner workings of a dancers fear - 'The Challenge" brought pleasure, laughter and introspective thought to the audience. One of Ed Wood's sci-fi movies inspired the dark comedy dance of "Plan 9".

"The Silent Era" gave us a view of the vamp, time, and old black and white movies. While "Between the Shadows, There's Steam" showed us that girls just want to have fun. The dance "Ceremony of the Elements" using the elements earth, air, fire, and water to create a fifth element; plus the dance "Tucson" brought us back our basic selves. Love was found in "Shiva and Parvati Revisited" while hate and fear reared its head in "The Story of Laurel". Finally for just plain fun, "A Logical Trek Tribute" rounded the evening off. A most memorable evening of watching the dancers express thernselves and pushing the limits of dance.
